The Kindergarten program at Roanoke Adventist Preparatory School is a developmentally appropriate program designed to give children the foundational skills necessary for success in school.
The classes are center-based and cover formative academic skills such as language arts, writing, science, art and math. There is a separate math curriculum in addition to the math center. All skills are taught using a developmental approach. Students have the opportunity to master each of the skills taught before moving on to the next concept or skill. The Kindergarten program also has a Bible component that follows the beliefs and teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Our teachers and aides are caring individuals who desire each child to be successful as they enter their first years of school. The goal of our Kindergarten program is to educate the whole child by providing the physical, mental, spiritual, and social aspects necessary for a well-rounded and successful education.
